This coffee comes from a large estate owned by the Urban family in the Cerrado Mineiro highlands of Brazil. Their quality control team is exceptional, working through the millions of pounds of coffee they grow to build hundreds of different lots with unique flavor profiles. This lot is a very high quality example of a classic coffee from the area, sweet with minimal acidity, creamy body, chocolate and caramel notes. The Urbans also fund very important research into microorganisms that balance biodynamic agriculture and are produced at scale and sold as amendments to build ecosystems that naturally fight diseases and pests in many different crops like coffee, cotton and soy.
