This coffee comes from an organization called CENFROCAFE, which represents 80 smaller cooperatives and over 2000 organic producers in the northern region of Peru. These farms are small, remote, and very high altitude in the foothills of the Andes mountains. CENFROCAFE does important work grading and building lots, marketing the coffees, and getting premiums for their producers they wouldn’t have access to as smaller operations. The coffees grown in this area tend to be very balanced, with sweet notes of caramel, chocolate and roasted nuts.
